The TRUD workshop was founded by Eldar Zeytullayev, a professional photographer fascinated with nature and plants. Eldar’s works can be seen in the Museum of Photography in Belgium and the Museum of Photographic Art in San Diego, but it wasn’t enough for him.
The workshop was started as a way of self-expression and to appreciate the natural beauty of wood.

The TRUD workshop started as a hobby project in 2013. In the beginning, only individual interior decorations and items were created. The focus was not on making commercial products but creating heirlooms that would be passed from generation to generation.
The first order from Ritz Carlton came in 2021 and greatly changed the workshop’s operation. Now, TRUD offers a line of limited-edition products designed for the hospitality industry.
Nowadays, we see a renaissance of interest in wooden tableware, decor and other items. People rethink and re-appreciate their natural beauty and practicality. Moreover, this interest is growing not only among private citizens but also in the hospitality industry.

There is no more sustainable and environmentally friendly material than wood.
First, a high-quality wooden item can serve for decades. With proper care and repair, its service life is virtually unlimited.
Second, wood has a record low carbon footprint.
At TRUD, every piece of wood gets a second life, merging natural beauty with new forms. The artisans work with both hands, hearts, and minds on every detail, from wood selection and drying to impregnation and finishing, turning wood into items that brighten everyday life.
